The role reports to the Cybersecurity Engineering Manager and you will be part of Skanska's global cybersecurity team. You will work closely with colleagues in cybersecurity engineering, security operations and information security, as well as with IT operations, enterprise architects, business representatives and external vendors. Collaboration and dialogue across both technical and organizational boundaries are central to the role.
This is a broad role suited to someone who enjoys working with structure, context and direction within cybersecurity. You bring understanding across multiple security domains and are comfortable discussing how different areas interact and influence each other. Vendor governance is an important aspect of the position, involving close cooperation with external partners around requirements, follow‑up and the ongoing development of security solutions.
The work is carried out in a global setting and is characterized by collaboration, analysis and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities also include:
- contributing to the development and maintenance of technical security standards and guidelines at Group level
- supporting secure architecture across areas such as networks, identity, platforms and cloud services
- engaging in dialogue with specialists across security domains to ensure a coherent security approach
- working closely with external vendors, including requirements definition and follow‑up
- supporting global projects and initiatives by ensuring cybersecurity is addressed early
- contributing to compliance with relevant laws, regulations and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2 and GDPR
About you
You are an experienced cybersecurity engineer with a broad professional background and a strong interest in collaboration and holistic problem‑solving. You hold relevant education within IT or information security and have several years of experience working with cybersecurity in complex IT environments, preferably within international organizations.
You have a solid understanding of multiple security domains and are comfortable discussing topics such as identity, networks, cloud services and platforms. While you may not be a deep specialist in every area, you have the knowledge required to engage in meaningful dialogue with subject matter experts, architects and vendors. Experience working in Microsoft‑based environments, including Azure, Active Directory and Microsoft 365, is important.
You are familiar with established security frameworks and regulatory requirements and are used to translating these into practical and effective solutions. Vendor governance is a natural part of your professional experience, and you are comfortable working with external partners in a structured and collaborative manner.
As a person, you are analytical, structured and communicative. You build trust, navigate complex organizations with ease and are comfortable presenting and discussing topics at a senior level. You are curious, attentive and committed to continuous development.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or equivalent are considered an advantage, as is experience from consulting or large international organizations.
