Cybersecurity engineer Skanska Group HQ

The role reports to the Cybersecurity Engineering Manager and is part of Skanska's global cybersecurity team. You will work closely with colleagues across cybersecurity engineering, security operations and information security, as well as with IT operations, enterprise architects, business representatives and external vendors. Collaboration across both technical and organizational boundaries is central to the position.

This role is well suited for someone who thrives in challenging environments and brings an understanding across different security domains. You are comfortable discussing how areas such as identity, networks, cloud and platforms interact and influence each other, and you enjoy contributing with context, structure and direction.

Key responsibilities

• Support and contribute to secure architecture across networks, identity, platforms and cloud services
• Ensure a coherent security approach through collaboration across security domains
• Work closely with external vendors on requirements, follow‑up and continuous improvement of security solutions
• Support global initiatives and projects by ensuring cybersecurity is addressed early
• Act as a trusted advisor to engineering and leadership on secure cloud design, risk decisions and trade‑offs
• Drive evaluation and adoption of emerging security technologies within your areas of responsibility

About you

You have solid knowledge across multiple security domains, including identity, networks, cloud services and platforms, and are comfortable engaging with subject matter experts, architects and vendors. Experience within Microsoft‑based environments, including Azure, Active Directory and Microsoft 365, is important, but you also have extensive experience working with security tools and technologies outside the Microsoft ecosystem.

As a person, you are analytical, structured and communicative. You build trust, navigate complex organizations with ease and are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCSA, GCAD or equivalent are considered an advantage, as is experience from consulting or large international organizations.

The position can be based in Sweden (Stockholm or Malmö) or in the UK (Leavesden and surrounding area). If based in the UK, the role may be offered on a hybrid basis. The work is international in nature, and limited travel may be required. Background checks are part of the recruitment process.
