Job description

We are looking for a team player who thrives in an international and fast paced environment and who enjoys very varied job duties ranging from giving expert technical support to business development tasks.

Metso is focusing on growing the business for screening media and lining in the aggregates industry. We are opening new markets, reworking our offering and investing in our supply foot print and front-end resources. To support these global growth initiatives the product line screening media and lining is looking for an experienced Global Product & Field Support Manager with a passion for developing the Screening media and lining business from both a technical and commercial aspect.

You will provide expert technical support, mainly on location in the field, and to help develop business according to the PL strategy. Your technical knowledge needs to be paired with a commercial acumen being able to promote the products to internal stake-holders as well as customers.

The support ranges from training, Products, tools and processes, auditing plants, suggesting optimal technical solution, trouble shooting, to more hands-on tasks like supervising and in some cases actively participating in installations and commissioning's.

The business development side will mainly be focused on developing weak markets were Metso wishes to establish a presence with the products. Here the role will vary from direct promoting the products and technical support to start the business, to building up and training a local organization who later take over and further develop the business locally.

The above-mentioned tasks can be in any market through any sales channel globally.

Requirements

You have a strong technical knowledge and understanding of customer needs and requirements and the ability to translate this into business opportunities. You can drive and manage projects with complexity and several interfaces. You have a technical understanding and the ability to translate technical requirements into a commercial concept.

You are a practical, hands-on person who likes to work with troubleshooting. Furthermore, we think you are analytical and organized, self-directed and creative. You have the ability to work in teams and in a multi-cultural and multi-language atmosphere. You have a strength in developing and maintaining strong trusting relationships and networks.

You have a degree in engineering with at least five years of experience from related products or similar. It is a plus if you have experience from screening media and lining products in the aggregates industry. You also have experience in project management and from technical support roles.

You are fluent in both written and verbal English and you must be able to travel globally on a regular basis.
