The Crypto International Group operation started in February 2018 and we are now recruiting a “Head of Product Marketing” that will build and manage the ”Product Marketing”-department in the new Group. The Crypto International Group, dates back to the 1920s in Sweden, when the textile engineer Arvid Damm established a Swedish crypto company. The business was a few years later taken over by the well-known Swede, Boris Hagelin, who successfully transformed the small business into a global leader in the crypto industry. Crypto AG has been leading the way in the business ever since. It is now time for the next era in the history of Crypto AG, where we are aligning its Swiss identity with its Swedish roots and making great leaps into the cyber security world. The international business will further strengthen its crypto offering, and develop a comprehensive cyber security portfolio tailored to the increasingly complex cyber security needs of our international customers. The fusion of our unique high assurance expertise and cyber security is something that will be highly valuable for our customers that understand the true value of protecting its nation and citizens against attacks.
The ”Head of Product Marketing” is part of the company’s management team and reports directly to the CEO. The responsibilities include building and managing the organizations “Product Marketing” department that today consists of six employees that have joined from the acquired company.
The department is crucial for the company’s success. Within “Product Marketing” all phases in the product cycle are developed; customer demands, competitor analysis, product positioning, targets and overall “go-to market” strategy. It is within “Product Marketing” that the company’s “message” is created, both on high level and on product level, and it is essential that every customer level understands this message; technicians, developers and C-level decision makers. The Department also runs the company’s marketing (brand, digital/social media, print, web, flyers, magazine, newsletter etc.) with clear focus on creating leads to the Sales team.
The department is also responsible for managing the products internally (Product Management/Product Ownership). It is within this department the critical balance between technology/development and sales/marketing is handled, and it is the Product Managers that write the “job order specification” to the Development Department.
The “Product Marketing” department drives the crucial decisions on which projects should be prioritized and implemented. This is done with a large insight from the customer/market-perspective from the Sales team, from new technology and innovative ideas delivered from the Development Department.
As ”Head of Product Marketing” you will build and manage the team of product owners and marketing staff in order to create a creative, dynamic and successful team where the commercial business mindset is in focus. To make this happen the department needs to grow and develop. Cooperation with other departments needs to improve and the work processes and management needs to be more modern and professional. The “Head of Product Markeing” will get a lot of freedom in defining and building the Development organization he or she believes will lead to success!
Leadership will be crucial for the company’s culture change. All managers in the company are expected to take responsibility for the whole company. “Head of Product Marketing” will not only manage its own operation, but also take an active part in, and contribute to, the whole company’s business strategy.
The responsibilities of course include budget and management of employees, defining role descriptions, recruitment and training of new employees.
The responsibilities also include:
- Strategic and tactical work with product development and marketing
- Promote internal collaboration, primarily between development and sales
- Ensure products are in line with the business, customer needs and technical development
- Through analysis of market need explore and position the product portfolio vs competitors
- Create and distribute “leads”
- Plan and implement product launches
- Develop the company’s brand, create ”the story” that differentiates us from the competitors.
You have an academic degree and a technical background with at least five years’ experience from similar roles. You are a skilled leader, business minded, innovative, strategical and tactical. You develop and communicate the organizations vision and customer needs. You have a very good understanding of technology and market, and you have experience from the customer perspective. You are analytical and good at prioritizing. Quality is important for you and you are a good communicator.
You can turn business strategy and targets into solutions, and you can create a functional work environment for your employees. You are a flexible, solution driven person with integrity, but without prestige.
As this is an international company, you will work with people from various countries and cultures. It is an advantage if you have experience from working in an international matrix organization, and are used to leading people on different locations. International travelling will be required and for the first 3-4 months at least 3 days per week in Switzerland will be required.
You are fluent in English, and if you also speak German it is highly meritious.
