Kongsberg Automotive is now looking for a Software Manager who would like to be part of the future development of our products. We are aiming to constantly be in the forefront of our product areas. The position is based at Kongsberg's Technical Center Mullsjö Sweden.

About the job:

As a Software Manager for Kongsberg you are responsible for leading a team consisting of 15-20 people in the development and validation of embedded software in assigned projects.

In your role you will be supporting the definition of the product architecture, leading the process improvement initiatives, ensuring the communication and coordination with the cross-functional team and reporting the status to senior management.

Main responsibilities

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and mentor the software group in all aspects
  • Represent the Software and Software Test group in the multi-functional project team
  • Lead the estimation, planning and execution of software and software validation activities on assigned projects
  • Analyzing and interpreting customer needs
  • Responsible for the software architecture, environment, tools and deliverables
  • Define tasks and allocate work elements for software team. Track progress and ensure project team is on schedule, meeting milestones and performance/quality objectives

Candidate profile:

In order for you to fully enjoy this job we are looking for you who have solid leadership skills and ideas on how to support your team to perform the best they can. You are a strong team player with modern leadership abilities and thinking with a minimum two years' experience of managing a team.

Furthermore, you have a relevant academic degree in the field of software engineering or electrical engineering with relevant software experience.

You are fluent in Swedish and English and experience from automotive is an advantage.

As a person you are creative, innovative and a good decision maker. It is important that you are customer oriented with excellent communication skills.
