You will be a part of ABB Measurement and Analytics in Västerås, which is a business unit within the Industrial Automation division. We are now looking for an analytics physicist who wants to grow into one of our future specialists. You will be challenged by complex and very interesting issues at the core of our business. “We proudly measure things others can’t”, and with your help the customer value will improve even further!
In your role, you will work with the mathematics and physical descriptions of the electromagnetic phenomena in our products. You will be the analytic physics guide and participate in every part of the product development chain, from the physical and mathematical modeling and analysis, to delivery and installation of the final measuring systems at our customers.
Our measurement technologies are based on magnetic fields, and our everyday development deals with many aspects, theoretical as well as practical. Your work will be very pragmatic and in close collaboration with colleagues, customers and suppliers to solve problems and reach desired results in your work. You will also be given time to maintain and develop your own expertise. You will be part of a group with a unique width of expertise within mathematics, material science, physics, electronics, hardware and other expertise.
If you have at least a master’s degree in a relevant area, are pragmatic and result oriented you will love this job. A confirmed R&D experience is desired but you don’t have to master everything to apply for this position. Your inspiring colleagues will teach you what you need. You need to be proficient in English as most of our customers are abroad.
