Job description:
As a Prototype Buyer you will have responsibility for procuring and purchasing test & prototype material for prototype & pre-series product builds. Operationally you will manage the commercial interface towards the suppliers and you will be responsible for committed cost and delivery targets. You will have daily interaction with project teams and designers to ensure the timely supply of prototype material to the projects. Together with a team of prototype buyers you will be responsible for purchasing about 7000 article numbers annually.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing of test material & prototype components from external suppliers
  • Secure that prototype orders are fulfilled with respect to confirmed delivery date by proactive follow-up.
  • Update new delivery confirmations and comments promptly and ensure that important stake holders are informed.
  • Check that orders are delivered
  • Coordinate / book transports when needed
  • Assist in invoice issues
  • Monitor delivery precision and set action plans for low performing suppliers.

Expected Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics or related field
  • Communicative - you are used to cooperate and talk to colleagues at different levels in the organization
  • Fluency (oral and written) both Swedish and English is required
  • Basic technical knowledge, ability to understand drawings and engineering vocabulary
  • 1-3 years of experience in the purchasing area.
