Job Description

For our customer, a well know international company within the automotive industry, we are now looking for a Senior Application Support. The primary responsibility of the organization is to manage application support for solutions delivered to our client’s customers globally by addressing incidents and requests.

The team you will belong to follows well-defined ITIL processes to ensure efficient handling of issues and quality in delivery. The Application Support Specialist acts as a complement to the 2nd and 3rd line support according to the agreed service levels. This requires a good understanding of the user roles, the applications and the services provided. It will entail communication with different departments and suppliers based in both Sweden and other geographical locations.

The Application Support Specialist reports to the Support & Service Monitoring line manager in Gothenburg. At our client, they are actively working to establish work groups that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent in diversity in knowledge, experience, age, gender and nationality. Our client collaborates with the suppliers and partners with the latest services and solutions to help the customers increase profitability and growth by using connected services. The key responsibilities are:

• Supporting customers by handling incidents and requests
• Analyzing and resolving incidents
• Identifying potential solutions for defects
• Securing knowledge management by documenting and sharing information
• Manage incident status communication with customers and stakeholders
• Contributing with suggestions to improve deliveries
• Participating in maintenance and deployment activities.


To be a good fit for our client, you have a master’s degree within computer science and experience within the following areas:

-SQL and Oracle


-Experience from connected solutions for vehicles is an advantage

-Experience from application support is an advantage

-You should be fluent in both written and spoken English.
