For our client we are looking for a Software Asset Manager!

You will work closely with Service Owners and other functions to ensure new contracts and renewals are completed in a timely manner following agreed protocols.

Key Responsibilities & Scope For Decision Making:
Negotiating new contracts/renewals with support from Service Owner, Security and Legal as necessary
Work with Service Owner and Security on new contract requirements (with new vendors)
Challenge Service Owner to reduce usage and cost where possible
Request quotes from vendors
Initiate raising of Purchase Orders
Set up reviews with vendors & work with Service Owners on any issues
Review contract Terms & Conditions
Review contracts to ensure terms understood and communicate to Service Owners when required
Review and resolve software license compliance issues in conjunction with Service Owner
Work with Service Owner and Legal with regard to contract terminations
Budget monitoring and escalation to Service Owner & Global Control when required

Qualifications & Experience:
5 years’ experience in procurement or software asset management in a large multinational company
3 years’ experience working with software licensing

Key Competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to communicate with technical and non-technical staff at all levels
Excellent business English language skills
Excellent knowledge of software license clauses and types of contract
Excellent attention to detail
Strong negotiation skills
Strong commercial & financial understanding
