Your arena

As Finance Business Partner (FBP) for AstraZeneca Sweden Biomanufacturing Center (SBC) you provide financial leadership to the site, supporting the Leadership Team (SLT) for SBC to drive strategic direction & improved operational performance.

As Finance Business Partner, you will conduct the annual budget and forecasts for SBC. You will also take an active part in the work of our strategic, long-term plans. You are expected to give the senior leadership team a clear picture of economic development, risks and opportunities.

Your partners are primarily SBC SLT, Bio Finance team and central finance functions in Poland and Costa Rica. This resource is a shared resource, delivering admin support to Finance and SBC SLT.

Your role

Your responsibility is to plan, coordinate and deliver SBC planning processes. You are responsible for putting together and presenting a comprehensive picture. Your analytical ability is crucial, as expectations are that you can give a clear picture of trends, risks and opportunities.

Within your area of responsibility, you will also be involved in continuous improvement efforts aimed at raising forecast quality and streamlining the planning process.

The role is located in Gärtuna, Södertälje, Sweden.

Your focus will initially be to support SBC during the start-up phase.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to strategy development for SBC by providing financial & non-financial input to shape strategies, develop business and operational plans.

In partnership with the Finance Business Partner Lead and the Senior Leadership team at site, manage the performance & delivery of the site P&L & capital programs and setting stretching but attainable performance targets and incentives, aligned to leading benchmarks, strategy and operational plans.

Take a leading role in Month End Close and Planning processes. Work to secure an overall understanding of the performance by key stakeholders.

Together with the onsite finance team, build a great partnership with the Operations IFS (Integrated Finance Solutions) team in Poland and Costa Rica to ensure efficient and highly professional financial support to the Sweden site.

Help the Finance Business Partner Lead to build, develop and maintain strong relationships with AstraZeneca Global Finance functions and other key stakeholders across the network.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant academic degree
  • Significant post qualification experience in Finance Function, operating at senior Business Partnering levels
  • Good track record of senior finance management, strategic leadership & driving performance
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and in Swedish, to deliver key financial messages in a way that is both influential & impactful to finance & non-finance teams
  • Strategic business thinking in combination with rigorous analytical thinking and integrity
  • Delivery focus - must be able to manage competing deadlines & priorities effectively.

Desired Requirements

  • Experience of working in collaboration with others to achieve results
  • Experience within manufacturing & complex supply chain/site environments, knowledge of product costing
  • Experience with SAP is considered an advantage
  • International experience, either from work abroad or from previous experience with an international company
